Can an iphone 12 get malware?

I’m not too knowledgable on ios devices, but i got an iphone 12 some time ago, and it was acting a bit strange. I know that it turns on by itself when there’s a notification but it turned on by itself once. And i had some snapchat notifs on my phone, i got on my phone to check them, but both had been read, despite me not reading them. Bit strange? I wouldn’t know, im new to ios devices
