What is the best antivirus?

Searching for antivirus software for macOS, does anyone have a good recommendation? I tried to do some research, but almost all the articles I found were sponsored.

I don’t need something special, just a reliable antivirus. My son uses my computer as well, and he likes to search for games and movies on various websites. I don’t want to limit my child’s internet usage cause I trust him, but since kids may be careless sometimes, I simply want to be protected from malware
