Defender found a Trojan script, removed it, but conflicting results are showing with MS Safety Scanner.

I received a notification that Trojan:Script/Oneeva.A!ml script was contained in my AppDataLocalTemptmp9988.tmp. So I did offline scan with defender, malwarebytes scans… seemed in the clear. Then I noticed in event log a few “Microsoft Defender Antivirus Configuration has changed. If this is an unexpected event you should review the settings as this may be the result of malware.” in my event viewer logs for defender. So I did a Microsoft Safety Scanner run. It ran, it found 1 infected file, but then says scan completed successfully and no viruses etc were found. I ran it again. This time it found 3 infected files but then concludes nothing was found. I’m a little puzzled and worried. Thoughts?
